Mega Power Pack Second-Chance Drawing

We’re giving you more chances to win if you play Powerball or Mega Millions during the month of October. If you buy a single $10 or more draw ticket for either game, you can enter a second-chance drawing in Lucke-Rewards for a chance to win a free pack of Powerball/Mega Millions scratch-off tickets that go on sale tomorrow.

The $5 ticket offers top prizes of $200,000. Each package has 60 tickets, so that’s sixty chances to win a top prize.

There are five second-chance drawings scheduled. In each drawing, 100 players will win a pack of scratch-off tickets. The deadline to enter the first drawing is Oct. 7, and the drawing is scheduled for Oct. 10. The deadline to enter the final drawing is Nov. 4, and the drawing is scheduled for Nov. 7. However, only tickets bought during the month of October qualify.

If you buy your tickets at a retailer, you can enter them into Lucke-Rewards for your second-chance entry by going to the lottery’s website. Or you can scan your ticket using the N.C. Lottery Official Mobile App. If you buy them using Online Play, you’ll automatically be entered into the drawing.

Remember, to be eligible, it must be a single draw ticket for either game worth $10 or more.

The Mega Millions jackpot for Tuesday’s drawing is $367 million or $213.9 million cash. The Powerball Jackpot for Wednesday’s drawing is $229 million or $134.3 million Cash.

Hey there Cheryl, If you visit the Draws page on your dashboard, you can see all the winners that have claimed their prizes. To see the Mega Power Pack drawing results, be sure to choose the "Second Chance" tab and then select "All" from the drop-down menu.

Look under the Draws button on your dashboard. Then check for winners of second-chance drawings under the Second-Chance tab. They are listed there.

Hi Carl, Sorry for the delay in responding. To be eligible for the drawing, the ticket must have been purchased before Oct. 31st and be a single Powerball or Mega Millions ticket worth at least $10. To be entered, the ticket must be scanned or manually entered into your online account by using the "Collect" icon. By doing that, any eligible ticket will have been automatically entered.

Hey Mikell! We'd love to help, but we need a bit more information. Are you entering Lucke-Rewards drawings or Second Chance drawings? The process is slightly different depending on which drawing you are attempting to enter.

I thought there was going to be a specific place to enter this. I guess just entering my ticket number does this automatically. There should be something on your home page that explains this. On the ticket, it just says go to nclottery.com but then no mention about it. I had to do a google search to find this page. NC Lottery

Devonte, each weekly drawing is separate from each other. Your entries do not roll over from one week to the next. Every Sunday at 11:59 the contest ends, deadline line to enter for that week. Monday a new weekly contest begins and runs for 7 days. Like it says in this blog, there are 5 separate drawings.

Hey Angelique, Our second-chance and Lucke-Rewards drawings are conducted using a random number generator. Each entry is assigned a number and then a random number is selected. Let us know if you have any other questions!

Is there anyway you can post how many second chance entries have been entered? I’m an odds kinda guy and at least like to know what I’m up against. I’d probably use more points if I had a control number to go by. It could also be a marketing tool. Like if you had a drawing with low entries and you put it out there you might get more people to enter. Just a thought. LZ, thanks for putting that link on for DELLA. If anyone else checks out the prize amounts for that ticket they will notice something. If you scratch off a $2 QP the most you will win on that ticket will be an additional $50.

Ok I understand above my first post I was confusing it with something else. Part of it is that I just bought $10 worth of mega tickets and got my number but no notification that I was enetered to win a roll of tickets. I look at the other one and there also didn't tell me I was automatically entered into the drawing. Maybe that is what I am missing. NC Lottery
Once you have scanned your ticket into your Lucke-Rewards account, you can double check to make sure you are entered by visiting the "Draws" page. Once there, make sure to select the "Second Chance" tab at the top and there you will see a column called "Your Entries". Scroll down to the "Mega Power Pack" section and you should see it there. If you are still having trouble, we recommend giving our online team a call at 855-767-1863 so that they can walk you through it.

We're happy to help! First, you'll want to log into your Lucke-Rewards account and navigate to the "Draws" page. From there, select the "second-chance" tab at the top. If you scroll a short way down, you'll see a section titled "Mega Power Pack", and there will be a column labeled "Your Entries". There you will be able to see how many entries you have. If you have checked there and aren't seeing your entries, please call our online support team at 1-855-767-1863 so that they can take a closer look.

Well I think we should start a "Loser's club" lol I have been playing for years, twice a day, don't get me wrong I hit a # every now and then. I scan tickets almost every single night been doing it for years & NEVER won a second chance drawing ????????NC Lottery
Some of our Lucke-Rewards or second-chance drawings can have over a million entries! The more entries you make into a drawing, the more chances you have to win, but having even just one entry in a drawing gives you a chance to win. You never know when your good luck will hit!

To clarify, when you purchase at least $10 worth of Powerball or Mega Millions tickets online, you will be automatically entered into the second-chance drawing for the pack of new Mega Millions/Powerball scratch-off tickets. I like the new $5 tics, they're kinda neat & very inventive. I like the way every other one is a PB or MM and if you win a QP it goes accordingly with that ticket. I got 4 Tue & 4 today. Won $20 & QP on one, $15 on one , and $5 & a QP on another. So I am even on the $$ and got 2 PB quick picks for free, that I also got a few points for. LZ, how can you buy a $10 ticket online when 3 lines is the highest you can get? If you get a 3 & a 2 does that count as one ticket? I don't want to spend $10 trying to find out. I have asked in the past to have a 5 line purchase as an option, just like the play slips.NC Lottery
Hey Denver! To apply the promotion online, the $10 just has to made in a single purchase. It will be automatically applied in your cart once you reach $10. To get there, you have a few options. You could buy a multi-draw ticket or multiple plays (3 plays and then a separate play of 2, like you said) for the same draw to get the ticket above $10. You also have the option of adding the PowerPlay or Megaplier. As long as your cart reaches the $10 mark, you will have the promotion automatically applied. Does that answer your question?
