Eight instant games end Friday Nov. 9, so if you have won a prize on one of those games you have three months to claim it.

The games that are ending are:

•    $20 tickets: $200 Million Blowout, Millionaire Bucks
•    $10 ticket: Carolina Millions
•    $5 ticket: Carolina Cash
•    $3 ticket: Loteria
•    $2 ticket: Sapphire 7’s
•    $1 tickets: Summer Cash, $10,000 Diamond Dazzler

You have 90 days from the announced end date to claim a prize. For the games listed above, all prizes must be claimed on or before Thursday, Feb. 7, 2019. Claims of $600 up to $99,999 must be made at one of the six regional claim centers before 5 p.m. that day while claims of $100,000 and above must be made at lottery headquarters before 5 p.m. on that day as well.

Mail-in claims must be received within 90 days of the official end-of-game date. Remember, postmarks will not satisfy the 90-day requirement.

Check your tickets carefully and make sure you're not overlooking some prizes. We'd hate to see anyone miss out on a big win.

How do you know when the second chance drawing takes place, like the Extreme million and how do you know if you are a winner? Does anyone know how it works? NC Lottery
Hey Melony, Winners for second-chance drawings are notified first via email and if a player does not respond to our email we will follow up with a phone call and will send certified mail if necessary. We reach out using the contact information listed on the player's online account, so it's always a good idea to keep that information up to date!

Im trying to enter to win a pack of 60 scratch offs worth $300. It's due today but h11/4/2018 but how do I enter????NC Lottery
Hey Lula, Apologies for the delay in responding. To be eligible for the drawing, the ticket must have been purchased before Oct. 31st and be a single Powerball or Mega Millions ticket worth at least $10. To be entered, the ticket must be scanned or manually entered into your online account by using the "Collect" icon. By doing that, any eligible ticket will have been automatically entered.

as a lottery player of scratch offs since day one I would really love to see more realistic prizes on the 30 dollar ticket . I know the dream of 10 million is awesome after playing 9 straight tickets to only win one 50 prize it seems more average winners would be better just my thoughts NC Lottery

We appreciate you keeping us busy, Denver! The Holiday Millionaire ticket (#581) was included in this year's Holiday Second Chance promotion because it is just that—a holiday promotion. We thought it might be confusing for some to have to figure out which holiday games apply for the second-chance drawings and which do not. Instead, we are keeping it simple, all holiday games qualify for the Holiday Second Chance promotion. The Holiday Millionaire ticket is still available to be ordered by retailers, so feel free to let your local store know that you want to see that one hit the shelves again!

And now on to other topics that will soon be questioned... Two (2) second chance drawings will be conducted by the North Carolina Education Lottery ("NCEL") for the Holiday Instant Scratch-off Games (Instant Game # 636, 637, 638, 639, 640 and 581) during the selling period of the games or such time period as determined by the NCEL.... LZ, I find it odd that the older #581 game will be included in this 2nd chance promo/game. #581 is hardly anywhere to be found. Plus unless you make a new run of #581, there is no indication on the upper left hand corner of the ticket that it is a 2nd chance drawing ticket. You guys did not include the older $10 ticket from (X The Cash) when you came out with the newer (Multiply the Cash) 2nd chance game. Sorry LZ, it's raining and I'm bored, plus still trying to keep you on your toes and make you earn your money.NC Lottery
