Nash County woman celebrates $110,000 Cash 5 jackpot win

Denise Hill of Nashville is celebrating after she won a $110,000 Cash 5 jackpot.

Hill’s good fortune started when she stopped at the Circle K on Dortches Boulevard in Rocky Mount and bought a Quick Pick ticket for the Cash 5 drawing on Nov. 29.

Her ticket beat odds of one in 962,598 to win the jackpot.

She claimed the prize Monday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh. After required state and federal tax withholdings, she took home $77,551.

Cash 5 is a statewide draw game that gives players the chance to win a jackpot every single night. Tickets cost $1 and players can buy tickets at most lottery retailers or through Online Play on the lottery’s website.

Wow someone just hit the cash 5 on November 27 in Nash county and then somebody hit it again on November 29 in Nash county sounds kinda of Fisshy to me back to back like that. This can't be randomly NC Lottery
We can assure you that it was random! We conduct all of our drawings according to careful security procedures, under the supervision of auditors. Every single player has a chance to win, no matter where the player lives. This time it just happened to be two different winners from different cities that were in the same county. If you look close enough at any set of data, you can find what you think is a pattern, but that pattern is just randomness being random. Best of luck.
