Don’t miss out on a ‘Colossal’ win

As you look to the New Year, don’t forget that there’s still time to enter our December drawings. There are some big prizes up for grabs, and you’ve only got a few more days to get your tickets in.

Our first Colossal Cash Second-Chance drawing is going to be big. We’ll choose one $1 million winner, three $10,000 winners, and 25 $500 winners.

If you’re looking to spruce up your home for the New Year, make sure to get your tickets into the final Dream Makeover Second-Chance drawing. One player will win $25,000 in The Home Depot gift cards. 50 players will win $500 worth of The Home Depot gift cards.

You still have time to make December Dazzling by entering our monthly Lucke-Rewards drawing. 25 players will win $5,000.

The deadline to enter all of these drawings is Monday, Dec. 31. The drawings are scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 9.

And finally, you can enter the last weekly drawing for a chance to win some Quick Cash. Ten players will win $100.
The deadline is Sunday, Dec. 30. The drawing is scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 2.

Hello, Couldn’t find an answer on the internet so I’m asking here. If there is a total of 5,756,454 prizes for Colossal Cash and the odds are 1 in 2.83 that means there are 16,290764.82 tickets printed. But how can that equation end in a decimal? It must be a whole number as there can’t be a ticket out there only 82% complete. The strangest part is that if there are 30 tickets per roll, than there are 543025.494 rolls. Which means there is a roll out there printed with only 14 tickets on it, plus the one 82% ticket. NC Lottery
Hey Matthew! The easiest way to see how many tickets were printed for a game is to look at the odds of just the top prize. For example, Colossal Cash has 4 top prizes and the odds of winning the top prize are one in 3,960,000. All you need to do is multiply 4x3,960,000. From that, you get the total of tickets printed, which is 15,840,000 -- then, just divide that by 30 and you have 528,000 rolls of tickets. Hope this helps!

Hey Lisa, You're asking lots of great questions! For promotional prizes like the $25,000 Home Depot gift card, the lottery covers the taxes. However, since we only cover minimum state and federal taxes, we still recommend winners consult with a tax professional. Hope this helps!

When awarding prizes for Lucke-Rewards and Second Chance drawings, the prize awarding process is not complete until the winner has responded to our email notification (sent within 48 hours of the drawing) and claimed their prize. Hey David, Unlike the televised daily drawings, our second-chance and Lucke-Rewards drawings are not held at a specific time of day, but rather when draw, security and an auditor have time to follow all the procedures to conduct the drawing. As for when the winners are notified, winners can expect to receive a notification email within 48 hours of the draw day. In this case, by the end of the day on Friday. Hope this helps!

Winning in one drawing doesn't disqualify a player from having good luck again! The more entries a player makes, the more chances they have to win. We don't know how many entries each player makes, but it’s possible they made a lot of them. Of course, having even ONE entry in a drawing gives you a chance to win!

Hi Veronica, the Colossal Cash Second Chance $1,000,000 Grand Prizes are annuity prizes payable over 20 years. An annuity winner may elect a discounted lump sum cash option in lieu of the annuity prize, which is set at $600,000 before taxes.

WOW Donna ,you have 900 more entries in the Colossal Cash 2nd chance drawing then I do. You must be very good at what you do to be able to afford $28,230 in $30 tickets in a short 5 month period. Hi Aleatha, you can enter a Second Chance Drawing by scanning a ticket with our app. It will automatically enter you into the Second Chance drawing for that ticket. To enter a Lucke-Rewards drawing, you scan tickets to collect points and then use those points to enter into the Lucke Rewards drawings. Hey Deanna, Yes, when you click the "Collect" icon and scan your ticket for points, it will automatically enter you into the appropriate second-chance drawing for that ticket. You can check how many entries you have by visiting the "Draws" page.
