Have you received a lottery scholarship or know someone who has? If so, we would love to hear from you.
Thousands of North Carolina students get help paying for college as recipients of N.C. Education Lottery Scholarships each year. Last year, 27,875 scholarships were awarded.
The scholarships go to North Carolinians attending a state university or community college, based on financial need. In all, students received $32.3 million in financial assistance. That’s $32 million that students did not have to borrow to pursue their education dreams.
One of the best parts of our job is getting to meet some of those inspiring students. In September, we shared the story of Susan Parrish, who used a lottery scholarship to go back to school and get the knowledge and skills she needed to land a dream job. http://bit.ly/2ugzYRm
As we approach graduation time in May, the Education Lottery is looking to meet more students helped by the scholarships. Are you graduating with less student debt because of a lottery scholarship? How did a lottery scholarship help you achieve one of your education dreams?
