$100K Days mean bigger Cash 5 jackpots

We’ve got some exciting news for Cash 5 players. Our $100K Days promotion is back.

All through the month of August, the starting Cash 5 jackpot doubles from $50,000 to $100,000. If you noticed the jackpot jump from $53,000 on Tuesday to $100,000 for tonight’s drawing, that’s why.

Cash 5 only costs $1 to play, and is a statewide draw game that gives you a chance to win a jackpot every single night.

There are four ways to win playing the game. Odds of winning the jackpot are one in 749,398.

And don’t forget, if you can’t make it to a retailer, you can buy your Cash 5 tickets using Online Play. But you better hurry, the promotion only runs through Friday, August 31.

Re: Taxes on lottery winnings. Taxes get deducted from lottery winnings and then the winnings get taxed again as income come IRS time. Why can't the total amount of taxes that are owed be deducted once - at the time you receive winnings. It would be easier and fairer for winner to not have to be taxed again come tax time. Totally messed up; the govt is taxing you twice while you've got corporations out here who paid zero taxes but the little guy the govt extracts every penny. NC Lottery
Hi Beverly, The lottery only withholds minimum state tax of 5.499% and federal tax of 24% when a big winner claims their prize. Since each winner has a unique financial situation, we can't know whether or not they will owe more come tax time. That's why we always recommend that our big winners speak with a tax professional immediately after claiming their prize.

The lottery is ending the first "777" game, Game No. 606, because all top prizes were claimed. There is a new "777" game, Game No. 706, for sale that has two top prizes of $277,777. Using the game numbers will help you make sure you get the ticket you want.

Thanks LZ, you just confirmed what I thought was accurate. I just needed back (something in writing) to win a bet. Not that I'm a betting man now mind you. I have done it in the past with scratch offs, but all my kinda big draw wins were before July ,so I could not wait the 180 days.

nc lottery, maybe if you decrease the number of balls in the cash 5 you will see a lot more people playing the lottery and that way more money would come in and that will give more people chances to win.

Dang SW. Think about what you just said. Only 7 times in 28 days. All the other months this with 30 or 31 days it was only hit 5 or 6 times each month. Thats about average. So I would say 7 times in the shortest month of the year was damn good.

LZ, if you win a taxable amount on a draw game now, since you have 180 days to claim. If you wait till January 2019 to claim will it be considered 2019 income, or 2018 income?NC Lottery

been playing these same cash 5 numbers since the game first started 7,14,21,32,35 this is a set of combination i got off your website 1 in 749,398 they will NOT come out. when these numbers fall then i will no the lottery is not a SCAM i hear people say all the time it is rigged.

Hello to who this may concern and please pass this information on to the staff that is in charge of this. The last time in February of this year ya'll did this same promotion 100,000 days through the whole month of February it was only hit 7 times out of 28 days in the month. And of course I seen it hit one time back to back. This is not fair to players spending their money and not giving people a chance to win at least 100,000.I know the system is rigged in some type of way because when the cash 5 gets high and somebody hit its always 1 person that wins it.
