Video: Back Scratch gag gives people a chance to win $1 million

There’s nothing like a good back scratch. But here’s a question for you, would you scratch the back of a complete stranger?

To find out, we hit the streets of downtown Durham. An actor, with his arm in a sling, asked people if they’d lend a helping hand and scratch his back. If someone said yes, they got a free $10 Back Scratch scratch-off ticket with a chance at a $1 million prize. As you can imagine, the actor, wired with a mic, got quite the reaction. Watch the video to see how people responded.

The Back Scratch ticket family launched on First Tuesday. Tickets in the family range from $1 to $10 and offer top prizes from $10,000 to $1 million. If you turn any of the tickets over, you’ll find up to five more chances to win.

So keep scratching, and don’t forget to check the back!

I am glad that y'all love NC but there is more to NC than the western area. We don't get anything like that around the eastern part. When I say we don't, I mean we don't. Come to Clinton and show us some love and fun.NC Lottery
Hey Della, We held this event in downtown Durham because the nature of the event required a lot of foot-traffic in the area. Thank you for the feedback and we will keep it in mind for future events like this.

Why Durham? Why not in Clinton or any other down east town. Everything always stay up that way even cards with big winnings NC Lottery
