Two weeks after slow-moving Hurricane Florence devastated the Carolinas, communities remain underwater and families are facing life without a place to call home.
Florence might be gone, but the damaging effects this storm has had on our North Carolina family and members of our Lottery family are only just beginning.
Like many North Carolinians, our employees heard the call for help and quickly responded, partnering with a local volunteer group, Carolina Cavalry. Over the past two weeks, our employees have been collecting supplies and donations to help those in the affected communities and to help lottery employees who are recovering from flood damage themselves.

The need is still great. Florence will have lasting impacts that will continue for many more days, months, and even years. That means the work is just beginning. Like many others, we will continue to collect items and be active participants in volunteer events to help those throughout ENC and to help those who are part of the Lottery family who have lost much.
To those of you who have been affected or know someone who has, our thoughts are with you.
