Happy New Year to Guilford man who won $400,000 prize

Bobby Conklin from Gibsonville will start the New Year off right after a $5 Pay Me! scratch-off ticket paid him a $400,000 prize.

Conklin bought his lucky ticket at the Food Lion on Alamance Church Road in Greensboro. He claimed his prize Friday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh and, after required state and federal tax withholdings, took home $283,001.

The Pay Me! game started in August with four top prizes of $400,000. One top prize remains to be won.

That's nice, but I can't play on line because I'm having a problem proving I'm a us citizen. I sent everything they asked for.NC Lottery
You don't have to be a citizen in order to play, you just have to be who you say you are and be in North Carolina when you register for your account and make purchases. :) If you've uploaded all of the requested documents, you should be reviewed and approved within a few days.
