Craven County man wins ‘Supreme’ $100,000 lottery prize

Michael Glazer of New Bern is celebrating after he won a $100,000 lottery prize.

Glazer’s good fortune happened when he stopped by the WC Market on Martin Luther King Boulevard in New Bern and bought a $300,000,000 Supreme Riches scratch-off ticket.

He claimed his prize Monday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh. After required state and federal tax withholdings, he took home $70,759.

Glazer is the first player to win a big prize since the $30 ticket launched earlier this month. Four $10 million prizes, six $1 million prizes, and 14 $100,000 prizes remain. Players can also enter their tickets into four second-chance drawings for a chance to win $1 million. The deadline to enter the first drawing is July 31.

Ticket sales from games like $300,000,000 Supreme Riches make it possible for the lottery to raise more than $650 million a year for education. For details on how $5.8 million in lottery funds made a difference in Craven County last year, click on the “Impact” section of the lottery’s website.

I won $1000 yesterday in Charlotte. But most of the time is just 30, 50 or 60 but I’ve hit for $500 and $100 a couple of time. It’s just luck.

Those of us who have an Android device that's having technical difficulties with notifications, how are we to know if we won anything in any of the latest drawings? Hi Crystal, Online Play notification will come through your Message Center, which was not affected by the Android app technical difficulties. If you were to win a Lucke-Rewards or second-chance drawing, you would be notified via email, which was not affected either. Once you have uninstalled the old app and reinstalled the new one, the issue should resolve. Our web team just kept the "technical difficulties" notification up so that the folks who have not yet updated their app will see it.

Hi Betty, The odds of winning on a scratch-off ticket are for the entire printing run of the game. Each time you buy a ticket, you have to beat the odds in order to win a prize. Buying multiple tickets is never a guarantee of winning. Sometimes it just takes one ticket to win. We wish you all the best!

I am happy for Mr. Glazer he was a very lucky person, I do not care for this new $30 ticket, once I bought numbers 14 through 23 and on the last ticket 23 I got $30.00. A big loss-thinking they would do good since they where new. I will still buy some others but never again that one.

NC Lottery: I have submitted a request to player.info@lotterync.net regarding a $1,000,000 prize win in Cary with "$5,000,000 Mega Cash" scratch off. There was a big poster on the storefront about the win. I got a generic reply saying that all that information should be available under the WIN tab instead of sending me a link.
