Wilson man wins $213,945 Cash 5 jackpot

Bobby Evans of Wilson is celebrating his good fortune after he won a $213,945 Cash 5 jackpot.

Evans bought the ticket for Wednesday’s drawing at the Rose Mart on West Raleigh Road in Wilson.

He claimed his prize Friday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh. After required state and federal tax withholdings, he took home $151,366. His ticket beat odds of one in 962,598 to win the jackpot.
 
Cash 5 is a statewide draw game that gives players the chance to win a jackpot every single night. Tickets cost $1 and players can buy tickets at most lottery retailers or through Online Play on the lottery’s website. The jackpot for tonight’s drawing is $199,000.

Ticket sales from draw games like Cash 5 make it possible for the lottery to raise more than $650 million a year for education. I'm also having issues with the app that shows an error message when scanning to see if I won and it happens throughout the day not just after midnight and I have an iPhone NC Lottery

@NC LOTTERY, there's error codes on Android too. It's like the rule after midnight, don't know why? It's starting to get worse otherwise. It's like, "We have encountered an error, blahs blahs blah." When will they fix this?NC Lottery
