Holly Springs man celebrates $100,000 lottery prize

Peter Kenny of Holly Springs is celebrating after he won a $100,000 lottery prize.

He bought the winning $150 Million Cash Explosion ticket at the Sheetz on Avent Ferry Road in Holly Springs.

He claimed his prize Tuesday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh. After required state and federal tax withholdings, he took home $70,756.  

The $20 ticket launched in October 2018 with four $4 million prizes, six $1 million prizes, and ten $100,000 prizes. Two $4 million prizes, three $1 million prizes, and five $100,000 prizes remain.
 
Ticket sales from games like $150 Million Cash Explosion make it possible for the lottery to raise more than $700 million a year for education. Thx King. We are both over due for a big repeat. Every time I have won on pic3 or 4, I played combo. A little extra money, but you win top prize no matter how the numbers fall. Every time I have won I have played a double. Makes the combo play more affordable.
