Granville County man scratches way to $250,000 prize

The first top prize of $250,000 in the new 20X The Cash games goes to Jamal Jones of Creedmoor.

Jones’ good luck occurred with a $5 ticket he purchased at Smoker Friendly on N.C. 56 in Creedmoor. Two more $250,000 top prizes remain to be claimed.

Jones claimed his prize Friday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh. After required state and federal tax withholdings, he took home $176,876.

I bought another Win It All 2 dollar ticket this morning and won 100 Bucks! I scratched off and matched the Win It All number (21).I certainly was not expecting that. Tomorrow I am going to try my luck with the new $30 ticket.NC Lottery

@JOHN A, only here and there have I won 50 bucks on a $2 ticket. That was not a time I just turned around and put it all on more tickets. That's when I leave. Typically, on $1 and $2 tickets, that's usually what you win..

Just luck, that's all. 2day I ran in to a friend at the gas station. He got 4 blue $20 tics inline infront of me. I got 4 green tics. He won zip on all 4. I had 3 out of 4 winners. $30,$30 & $100. It could have been the other way around. Only thing I know is we both got 80 entries into a 2nd chance drawing eith the same 1 in a million chance to win as everyone else.

Charles H. - The lottery is a game of chance and that's all. It's never anyone's turn to win and whether or not someone deserves to win doesn't really mean anything at all. I've been playing the lottery for 30 years and I've never won more than $1000 dollars but I keep playing for the "maybe this time" chances. That's really the only reason I keep playing.

Hi Gregory, Creedmoor is located about 25 miles north Raleigh. The new 20X The Cash is game number 682. The game number is on the back of the ticket. Also, we are in the process of picking up the old version of the game, and soon it should be off shelves completely.

Why is there only prizes outside of Raleigh NC. Nobody wins in the capital area of NC Raleigh. That's bonkers ??????. Everytime I here winners its not Raleigh? Hell even Charlotte North Carolina have winners and they're not even the capital! And don't tell me it's all about luck. But why, its very frustrating to see these wins where there's barely any people living? Am I crazy or y'all place winning tickets in areas people either don't know, can't go, or don't care to go?
