Our Wheel of Fortune winners are back from their VIP trip to L.A. where they had an exciting time seeing Hollywood and won some extra cash in the Big Money Spin Event.
We’re ready to say bon voyage to the next set of winners in next Wednesday’s drawing. If you want a chance, get your Wheel of Fortune tickets entered into our second-chance drawing by end of day Friday. The names of four lucky winners will be drawn.
The trip for two to Los Angeles includes:
- Round-trip airfare to Los Angeles
- Three nights’ deluxe accommodations
- A tour of Sony Studios
- A bus tour of Hollywood
- Studio audience tickets for a taping of the Wheel of Fortune show
- Tickets to participate in a Big Money Spin Event where up to $1 million can be won.
Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at the first trip our players took earlier this month.
Tuesday, January 7th
Day One. Winners and their guests arrived in Los Angeles, were picked up by car and taken to their hotel, the Marina Del Rey Marriott − their home for the next three nights.
Wednesday, January 8th
Day Two started with a Hollywood bus tour that includes Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive, Melrose Avenue, the iconic gates of Paramount Pictures, the original Warner Brothers Studio, the Hollywood Walk of Fame, The Dolby Theater, which is home to the Academy Awards, and a visit to the Farmer’s Market and The Grove for lunch.
The day ended with a 2.5-hour walking tour of Sony Studios, where they saw where popular movies and television shows were filmed.
Thursday, January 9th
Winners and guests returned to Sony Studios to join a live studio audience for three Wheel of Fortune tapings. After the first taping, Wheel of Fortune stars, Pat Sajak and Vanna White, joined the group for pictures in front of the game’s famous puzzle board.
Dinner, catered by Wolfgang Puck, was served at the famous Rita Hayworth Dining Room on Sony Studios. Then winners headed back to the Wheel of Fortune stage for the Big Money Spin Event.
During the event, each of the North Carolina winners picked up some cash prizes. Johnnie Arnold of Mount Olive won $3,500; Randy Martin of Cameron won $3,000; Valerie Pruitt of Winston-Salem won $15,000; and a proxy for Hazel Forney of Greensboro, who couldn’t attend the trip, won $28,000.
“Best trip ever,” posted Pruitt on Facebook. “… We are still riding high on all the excitement and of meeting the most friendly and wonderful people ever!”
