Someone who played Fast Play at a Kannapolis convenience store Monday afternoon won half of a $371,402 jackpot.
The $5 Jackpot 7s ticket was sold at the Circle K on Dale Earnhardt Boulevard in Kannapolis and won $185,701. In Fast Play, a $5 ticket wins 50 percent of the jackpot. At the time of the win Monday afternoon, the Fast Play jackpot had climbed to $371,402.
The win dropped the jackpot amount by 50 percent and it began climbing again at $186,637. The winner has 180 days to claim the prize at lottery headquarters in Raleigh.
Since Fast Play started last month, North Carolinians trying out the new Fast Play games have won nine jackpots.
The jackpot is one of the exciting features of the new Fast Play game. The rolling, progressive jackpot increases with every ticket sold until it is won. The odds of winning a Fast Play jackpot are 1 in 240,000.
Printed on each ticket is the amount of the jackpot when the ticket is sold and how much of that jackpot the ticket could win. Players can also win instant cash prizes on their Fast Play ticket.
Good luck on winning the next Fast Play jackpot.
