Red Ball drawn in Friday night’s Pick 3 drawing

Congrats Pick 3 players!

The Red Ball was drawn during Friday evening’s drawing. That’s the fifth time so far during our Double Draw promotion.

Every time the Red Ball is drawn, two Pick 3 drawings are held, giving you two chances to win.

Double Draw Results

First chance: 4-9-7. 948 tickets won a total of $98,094 in cash prizes.
Second chance, The Double Draw: 3-2-4. 3,202 tickets won a total of $379,955 in cash prizes.

The Double Draw machine has been reset. Saturday night’s drawing will have six white balls and one red.

Double Draw could occur any night of the month in our Pick 3 game until Saturday, Oct. 31.

With seven days left in our Double Draw promotion, it’s a sure thing that the Red Ball will be drawn at least one more time.

thanks for the info, but actually what and time is very important not so much the location. As I am aware it can hit anywhere. The maps is nice so it shows others that are skeptical about where the winners are all over. NC Lottery

Hey William, It takes our security team a little while to verify the location of the winning ticket before we are able to release the info publicly, but we do so as quickly as possible. We post the winning ticket location as soon as possible on our Twitter page if you're interested in following us there (https://twitter.com/nclottery). A lucky player won $83,620 while playing the $2 Jackpot 7's game. Their ticket won 20% of the jackpot and was sold at the Tickled Pink C-Store on Kernersville Rd. in Winston-Salem.

Yes it is time for a triple to come but yet the lottery claims that any combination can come out so how is it that the same number can keep coming out every other day but a triple want come seems strange to me. The lottery play what they want to play

I agree Ricky S I see I'm not the only person that thinks that happens often when a triple get ready to fall the screen goes blank with the system is having technical difficulties. NC Lottery
Hi Schmeka, We love it when popular numbers come up at random, because that means our players win a bunch of prizes! But for draw games to be fair, every number has to have the same chance of being drawn, and that includes triples.

Hey Schmeka, Every combination has a 1 in 1,000 chance of being drawn in each and every drawing. In games where you can choose numbers from 0-9, it’s no surprise that we see similar patterns come up every so often.

Hey Michael, You ask a great question. The winners for the $1 and $2 tickets typically win an amount that doesn't require them to visit lottery HQ in Raleigh, so we don't get a chance to meet and interview them like we do our typical big winners.

Technical difficulties on the Saturday Daytime draw?? Yeah, right, a quad came out and NCEL didn't want to pay out. Everyone knows the WRAL Live drawing isn't live. NC Lottery
Hi Ricky, We can assure you that our televised drawings do in fact take place live! They are even open to the public to attend to see the process for yourself if you're interested. Saturday evening's draw saw technical difficulties due to the absence of necessary production personnel at the WRAL studios and once the necessary production folks were located, the draw was conducted according to our strict security protocols.
