Rutherford County woman lucks out on first $150,000 Holiday Luck X50 prize

Teressa Williams of Forest City tried her luck on a Holiday Luck X50 ticket and became the first winner of a $150,000 top prize.

Williams purchased her winning $5 ticket from Debs Mini Mart on Oakland Road in Spindale.

She claimed her prize Monday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh. After required federal and state tax withholdings, she took home $106,126.

Holiday Luck X50 launched this month with three top prizes of $150,000. Two top prizes remain to be won.

An Audit needs to be done to see the number of winners that live West of Raleigh and especially the Percentage. I guarantee you the number of winners west of Raleigh are better than 60%.

I don’t think North Carolina lottery is real unless you hit big, because I only won 250 dollars and try to cash it at a gas station and they won’t cash it so I bring it to the grocery store and they won’t cash it they told me they don’t have money to cash it that’s bul@#$it i spend money to buy lottery and can’t cash it they need to tell all the store that 599 dollars can cash anywhere and if 600 and more cash at the lottery head quarters
