One by one, story by story, a great collection of heroes in our schools is building at ncschoolheroes.com.
There’s the story about the Wayne County elementary school principal who is a “constant figure of friendliness, being wherever he is needed and encouraging his students to excel.”
And a story about the Chowan County elementary school custodian who leaves “the school sparkling clean from his attention to detail, and some of our toughest students … feeling loved and acknowledged.”
Or the story of the Union County elementary school office assistant who is the beacon of light, offering “her strength and safe harbor by being a champion for those that may not have a voice.”
The stories show how teachers, principals and an array of other school workers from office assistants to custodians to counselors dedicate their hearts and souls to helping our students succeed.
In just over a week, more than 2,000 NC School Heroes have been nominated. Their stories are truly inspiring.
With four weeks left, we want to remind you to visit www.ncschoolheroes.com and nominate your NC School Hero. You can vote one time a day for the hero story that inspires you.
We’ll choose ten heroes from the top 200 with the most votes to receive $10,000. The schools the winning heroes work for will also receive $10,000. Plus, we’re giving the person who took the time to nominate a winning hero $1,000.
So please nominate or vote for a NC School Hero and help us celebrate the men and women who make a difference in the lives of students each and every day.
