Robee Bailey Jr. of Concord beat odds of one in 1.8 million in the Jan. 27 Lucky for Life drawing and won the $25,000 A Year for Life prize.
He bought his lucky $2 ticket at the Circle K on East Arbors Drive in Charlotte.
Bailey claimed his prize Friday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh. Winners are guaranteed $25,000 a year for life and have the option of taking a lump sum. Bailey chose the lump sum. After federal and state tax withholdings, he took home $275,930.
Lucky for Life has 10 ways to win a prize. Bailey won the second-place prize. The top prize is $1,000 A Day For Life.
