North Carolinians playing the Lucky for Life game are on a bit of a lucky streak this June.
In the game’s first five drawings this month, its second prize − $25,000 A Year for Life − has been won six times and three of those wins came with tickets purchased in our state! The game is played in 25 states and the District of Columbia.
Our state’s latest win came in Monday’s drawing with a ticket purchased at Sandy Ridge Services Station on N.C. 153 in China Grove in Rowan County.
The other wins went to Raymond Truesdale of Salisbury and Sidique Bundu of Greensboro. Both beat odds of 1 in 1.18 million to win in the June 1 drawing.
If you win the second prize, you can get $25,000 a year every year for the rest of your life or take home a lump sum of $390,000.
Tickets cost $2. Drawings are held every Monday and Thursday night.
