First Tuesday brings you the chance to win big “Bucks”

This First Tuesday, our Bucks family of games is getting a little bigger and giving you more chances to win big!

Hey LZ! @SHEILA I has a point. Some scratch-offs are extremely easy to scratch, almost perfect. Others are a pain in the neck. The $5 007 ticket is very easy to scratch. There are a few other tickets that scratch just as well such as the 20X among others. That being said, there are any number of tickets that are awful. The new $20 Bucks ticket us a prime example. You have some tickets with TOO glossy a coating, and don't stick these in your pants pocket and forget about them. If you sweat, the tickets get damp, even damaged, and can be a pain trying to scratch then. They're subject to smudge all together. Why can't you just have one decent coating like the 007 game? Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Tim! Different printing textures like gloss or metallic can result in slight differences in the "scratchability" of the surface. We will be sure to share everyone's feedback on the scratch difficulty level of the Millionaire Bucks ticket with the folks involved in designing our games.

@nclottery. I purchased a few $20 tickets. It is very difficult to scratch the numbers. The coating used was not a good choice...

Then we should be more specific! It was the Great Stops at 1100 Summit Ave. and the Speedway at 500 E Innes St.

Hey Tim, Every combination has a 1 in 10,000 chance of being drawn in each and every drawing. And with games like Pick 4 where you can only choose numbers from 0-9, it's no surprise that we see similar patterns come up every so often. Our liability limit is not intended to be a marketing tool, but instead a way to ensure that if a particular number is drawn (like 4-4-4-4), we are able to pay the prizes to everyone who purchased that number. We have an obligation to only sell as many tickets as we can pay out prizes for should those numbers hit.

Oh LZ! I know this question ain't related to this article but I gotta say it. Pick 4 the last few draws. 1444, 4412, 4411. Not necessarily in a row but you get the point? What are the odds of this? Looks like you're setting us up for a quad? Or, one could read conspiracy theories into this. As for the quad, several times recently 4444 was locked out but before? Not so much. Ironically, the other day I got behind a car with the suffix -4444! Just about inspires me to lock that number in for myself ahead of time. I DON'T want to waste money on it though for the next 5 years. As for pumping up a quad, I know you have a liability limit for a reason, but otoh, it appears to be a marketing gimmick to pump up sales. I can remember not so very long ago that you could hardly ever buy 1111, 4444, and 5555. That must be a really good profit margin no doubt.NC Lottery
