1-2-3 adds up to $1.6 million for Pick 3 players

A popular set of numbers, 1-2-3, added up to $1.6 million in prizes Thursday night for lucky Pick 3 players.

In all, the evening drawing produced 9,174 winning tickets. Of those, 1,524 tickets won the $500 top prize in the Pick 3 game with a $1 ticket. Another 736 won $250 with a fifty-cent ticket.

The 1-2-3 combination is one of the more popular set of numbers played in the Pick 3 game. The odds of matching all three numbers in the exact order called are 1 in 1,000.

I was just wonder why do you the lottery stop you for playing numbers you choose to play I been playing them Quad ones and get a messages saying not process and the number didn’t even come out I get that on the 4’s as well can’t play them due to many other people have played them to I think if we all playing we shouldn’t be limited on the number we choose to play. Hi Stephanie. Sometimes with popular numbers, the “liability limit” is reached, meaning enough players have selected a number that the lottery must stop sales of that number for that draw. The reason for this is to ensure that the lottery could pay out the prize money should those numbers hit! Good Luck.

Hi Carol. All the draw results are random, and the results in one drawing don't have any influence over what numbers will be drawn in the future. What looks like a "pattern" is really just randomness being random. The only thing we control is the integrity of the drawing, the winning numbers are the result of that random drawing. Good Luck

Hey LZ! You might recall that when 111, another very popular set, hit a while back, I asked you why you didn't report this when you reported a smaller amount with a popular Pick 4 number? Your response? The gist was something like, "We report on stories that we think are if interest to our readers." Well, 111 paid out over 5 MILLION! Yet now you choose to report 123 with a much smaller figure? What gives here? Another guy even agreed with my post. Waiting on the PC response..........?!NC Lottery
