Henderson County man bags $200,000 Bonus Bucks prize

Sheldon Capps of Hendersonville tried his luck on a Bonus Bucks $5 scratch-off ticket and scored a $200,000 top prize.

Capps purchased his lucky ticket from Mr. Pete’s Market VIII on Kanuga Road in Hendersonville.

He claimed his prize Friday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh. After required federal and state tax withholdings, he took home $141,501.

Bonus Bucks launched in June with six top prizes of $200,000. Three remain to be won.

Ticket sales from scratch-offs make it possible for the lottery to raise more than $700 million per year for education. For details on how $5.3 million raised by the lottery made a difference in Henderson County last year, visit www.nclottery.com and click on the “Impact” section.

I recently had a message to update app again on lucke rewards i can scan tickets play points games but i have to go to nc lottery app to play cash 5 power ball all of them games so i deleted app tried again still the sameNC Lottery
