Eighteen scratch-off games will end soon

Eighteen scratch-off games are ending and will no longer be for sale as of Friday, July 24.

The games that are ending are:

$20 ticket:
  • 100X The Cash (Game #594)
$10 tickets: 
  • $50 or $100 Holiday Edition
  • $1,000,000 Win It All
  • Red Hot Millions
$5 tickets: 
  • Emerald Green 8s
  • Gold
  • Happy Holidays
  • Wheel of Fortune
  • 20X The Cash (Game #682)
  • $250,000 Win It All
  • Power 5s
  • Carolina Black
$3 ticket
  • Bingo Extra
$2 tickets
  • $100 Loaded
  • Money Bag Multiplier
  • 2020
  • 777
$1 ticket
  • Red Hot Double Doubler
If you tried your luck with one of those games and won a prize, you have a longer than normal to claim it. Normally, players have 90 days to claim a prize on a scratch-off ticket after the game ends. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the deadline was extended until Monday, Nov. 2.

Claims of $600 up to $99,999 must be made at one of the six regional claim centers before 5 p.m. on Nov. 2 while claims of $100,000 and above must be made at lottery headquarters in Raleigh before 5 p.m. on that day as well.

Mail-in claims also must be received by Nov. 2. Remember, postmarks will not meet the Nov. 2 deadline.

Check your tickets carefully and make sure you're not overlooking any prizes!

NC Lottery you always say that most winners happen in a certain area because more players are playing in that location-shouldn't matter if it's truly random. Can we get the data you speak of showing how many sales there are in Wake county as opposed to say Guilford County? NC Lottery
Anywhere more tickets are being sold, you will see more winners and non-winners over time. That doesn't mean the odds are different there, it just simply means that more tickets are being sold there. That said, we'd be happy to provide the statistics you're asking about. Just email player.info@lotterync.net with your specific request and someone will work to put together a report for you.

Why does majority of scratch off winners be in wake countyNC Lottery
Anywhere there are more chances being taken to win—for example Wake County—the odds will play out more often there over time. You'll have a larger volume of both winning and non-winning tickets in proportion with the odds. That has no effect on the likelihood of a particular ticket winning or not winning a prize, whether it be in a big city or a small town. It has to be that way in order for the lottery to be fair to everyone.
