Six days ago, our new Fast Play games began and it’s been a great first week.
As this is written, the progressive Jackpot has climbed from $20,000 to over $230,000. We can’t wait to meet our first jackpot winner!
It’s been great seeing prizes being won and hear players say they are having fun.
The fun started Sunday and we checked in the first day at the popular lottery store, Eagles Express on Knightdale Boulevard in Knightdale, to talk to players trying the game for the first time.
“It’s easy to do and easy to win money off it,” said one of the players we met, Mario Rosalaz of Knightdale. “I like it. I won $20. Jackpot 7s. I’ll have to play again.”
“Fast Play is a fun game,” said another, John Koon of Knightdale. “I like it. Played a couple and lost, but you never know when you are going to get that big one.”
Across the state, thousands have been winning prizes and claiming their money at stores where they buy their tickets.
During the first six days of play, more than $1 million in prizes were paid out to 126,000 winning tickets. That includes 37 wins of $500 and three wins of $1,000. The $1,000 wins occurred at:
- Quik Chek on Broad Street in Seagrove
- Mody’s Quick Shop on Prosperity Church Road in Charlotte
- Circle K on North Main Street in Archdale
