Gaston County woman ‘matches’ to win $250,000 prize

Shana Martens of Stanley saw her $5 ticket win her a $250,000 top prize.

She purchased her winning $250,000 Money Match ticket from the 7-Eleven on Mount Holly Huntersville Road in Charlotte.

Martens claimed her prize Friday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh. After required federal and state tax withholdings, she took home $176,876.

The $250,000 Money Match game launched in November with four top prizes of $250,000. One top prize remains to be won.

Just wondering, had part of the Fast Play Jackpot been won since Sunday night ? Total jackpot was over 700,000, figured a 20% winner somewhere . Where was the winner ?NC Lottery
Hi Scott, a player in Fayetteville just won a top prize of $147,107 while playing Fast Play this morning. The winning $2 Jackpot 7s ticket was sold at Lucky Seven on Raeford Rd. $2 winning tickets take 20% of the total jackpot.
