Camilla Fisher of Denver saw her $5 scratch-off ticket win her a $250,000 top prize.

“We’re over the moon,” she said as she claimed her prize Monday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh. “We just couldn’t believe it.”

Fisher purchased her winning $250,000 Gold Rush ticket from the Speedway on N.C. 16 North in Denver.

After required federal and state tax withholdings, she took home $176,876.

The best I've done on this ticket is a gold bar win all for $1000 which was good, but it should've been more. Also, is there anyway to find out the prize structure for games that have the win all and multiplier features? Finally, I wish that the minimum multiplied amount on tickets $5.00 and up would be equal to the cost of the ticket. Nobody wants to get a 20,50 or 100x multiplier and reveal a $1.00 prize under it. I have found at least 7 20x tickets with $1.00 + 5 win all with $1.00 and it's ridiculous. If you're going to produce these types of tickets then start the prizes at larger amounts.NC Lottery
Hi Charles, we appreciate the feedback. You can see the prize structure of any scratch-off game by going here: https://nclottery.com/ScratchOff and then selecting the game that you are interested in. We try to offer a variety of games to fit all of our player's different play styles. Some games offer more chances to win a smaller prize while others offer a larger jackpot.
