Charlotte woman wins $1 million on a scratch-off ticket

Mary Szura of Charlotte tried her luck on a $10 scratch-off and won a $1 million prize.

Szura purchased her lucky 50X The Cash ticket from the QuikTrip on Monroe Road in Matthews. She claimed her prize Friday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh.

She had the option of taking the $1 million as an annuity of $50,000 a year over 20 years, or a lump sum of $600,000. She chose the lump sum of $600,000 and, after required federal and state tax withholdings, took home $424,503.

I also have the Colossal Issue. I cannot enter them via the NC lotto website or the mobile app. I'm also not a fan of the new scanner. The previous one worked and it was easy to use.NC Lottery

LZ, I bought 3 "Collossal Cash" Tickets from a local store. I tried to enter the tickets for the second chance drawing and points. I got "Error Invalid Ticket Submission" when I tried scanning. I then tried manually to do the same; same results. Can you provide a solution?NC Lottery

LZ, the scanner is not functioning properly! I updated, again, for the second time in about a month. This morning I tried to scan but it'll barely scan anything. It's like it's out of focus, a slight blur. Can you please fix this? Also, the most recent updates required me to update to continue whereas previously I could do it whenever I wanted?

good for her ! just entered witches riches 2x but the entries didn't add on , one from yesterday didn't either. Still can't " earn points" with the mystery cash word thing...was able to get those points only 1x back on spt. 2, just fyi ..all can do is play for fun, no fun.
