Powerball ticket purchased in Guilford County wins $1 million

Wednesday’s Powerball drawing produced a $1 million prize for someone who bought a ticket at a convenience store in Guilford County.

The lucky winner purchased the $2 ticket at the Circle K on North Main Street in Archdale and will take home the largest prize nationally from the drawing.

The ticket matched the numbers on all five white balls, 7-29-36-41-43, to win $1 million. The odds of matching numbers on all five white balls are 1 in 11.6 million.

The drawing also produced a $50,000 win in North Carolina for someone who bought a $2 ticket at the Mina Minimart on N.C. 39 South in Henderson.

The two winners have 180 days from the drawing to claim their prize.

Since no one won Wednesday’s jackpot, the jackpot climbs to $86 million as an annuity prize or $60.9 million cash for Saturday’s drawing. Odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292 million.

Players can buy Powerball tickets at any lottery retail location, through Online Play on the lottery’s website or by using the NC Lottery Official Mobile App.

Hey Nc lottery i hate to sound so negative but I have a couple of issues. 1. Why ask players to leave feedback & you guys never respond? 2. The "NEW" scanner socks in the worst way!! I never had a problem scanning tickets, now to scan is like pulling a shift at work. It is like you trying to fix something that was not broke!! Update not downgrade!! Omg 3. Why have a 24/7 # for customers & they can't answer anything!! Every question you ask they tell you: that's another department, call normal business hours!! Why are they there to keep seats warm?? What really the purpose for this #?? I'm curious now that I came on here to ask this way instead of personally maybe I can now get answers thanks

The ticket scanner is horrible. I can’t sit and hold the phone over a ticket for five minutes. It was fine till update. If you’ve got a lot of tickets to scan, you’ll be there all dayNC Lottery

when scanning tickets hold ticket a little less than a 90 degree angle away from phone if you are having a lot of trouble with phone facing directly at ticket.

never had a problem scanning tickets until N.C.E.L. changed its technology.Either slow to scan or will not scan at all and sometimes works fine! So it is not my phone or app, it is your engineers so called technology! Why change something that was working fine?NC Lottery

Hello NCEL The scanner is still not working ( IOS-IPHONE). Ive called, worked with NCEL, updated, installed, uninstalled multiple times but its still not working. I have to use a flashlight just to attempt to scan to which it takes forever to scan both to confirm a winning/losing tkt or to get luckie rewards points. My phone is completely up to date.
