Holiday scratch-offs go on sale this First Tuesday

This holiday season will deliver six holiday games – the most ever – including a fun, oversized Winter Winnings ticket with a top prize of $1 million.

The $20 Winter Winnings ticket will offer more than $20 million in prizes including some tickets that will let you win 27 times. That’s a lot of gifts for someone this holiday season.

The other five holiday-themed games are:

Season’s Greetings. Comes with three different holiday scenes and a “To” and “From’ tag.
Holiday Doubler. Designed with a vertical play area and a chance to win double the prize.
Peppermint Payout. In this long play ticket, look for multipliers, up to 3X, in rows 1-5.
Holiday Cheer. Printed in red, blue and green with extra big play symbols.
Merry Money Blowout. Comes with no break-even prizes. You get $50, $100, or $500 wins.

Again this year, our holiday family of games comes with a second chance opportunity. But the grand prize is 3X grander - $150,000. Just enter any of our six holiday tickets into your NC Lottery account for a chance to win one of 56 total prizes in each of the two of our Holiday Winnings Second Chance Drawings. The prizes are:

One winner of $150,000
Five winners of $10,000
50 winners of $500

The deadline to enter the first second-chance drawing is Nov. 30. The drawing is scheduled for Dec. 8.

Winners are generally contacted within 48 hours of a drawing, and then they have 30 days to claim their prize. Why are the number of top prizes on the $20.00 tickets decreasing. Normally it’s 4 top prizes to be won and now it’s cut down to only 2. It just amazes me how the lottery create ways to keep more money and give out less.NC Lottery
