Guilford County man wins $150,000 lottery prize

Robert Hammond Jr. of Greensboro tried his luck on a Mystery Prize Cashword scratch-off and walked away with the game’s first $150,000 top prize.   

Hammond bought his lucky $5 ticket at Fairway One Stop on South Elm Eugene Street in Greensboro.  After required state and federal tax withholdings, he took home $106,126.

Mystery Prize Cashword launched in September with six top prizes of $150,000. Five $150,000 prizes remain to be claimed.

Wow, I see some just won 50% of the FPP jackpot, I just got a couple more $20 tickets. Playing on house money, won $200 Saturday, 1st time playing the new $20 ones, just won $90. I won $80 while Jim was winning his $150k....NC Lottery
