Trips of 1-1-1 pay off again for Pick 3 players

The numbers 1-1-1 popped up again in Sunday afternoon’s Carolina Pick 3 drawing added up to a $1.8 million win for lottery players.

This is the fourth set of trips to hit in the Pick 3 game this month and the second time the numbers were 1-1-1.

The drawing produced 5,050 winning tickets that matched all three numbers.

The winning numbers are known as “trips” among players of the Pick 3 game. Trips are some of the most popular combination of numbers played.

The odds of matching all three numbers in exact order in a Pick 3 drawing are 1 in 1,000.

Thanks for the trips but there has to be 3 999's in that batch in 4 years. The same trips keep falling. Last year was a bad year for trip players. For all those people that just play trips, it is time to do some quick picks.
