Your chance to get Lucky for Life is about to go daily!

We have a super exciting update coming to our Lucky for Life game: Starting on July 19, drawings will occur daily instead of just on Mondays and Thursdays.

That’s right — every day of the week could be your chance to win lifetime prizes.

In order to prepare for the new game chances, we are implementing a multi-draw step-down to help with the transition to daily drawings.

But what exactly is a step-down?

We’re glad you asked.

Beginning April 19, the number of multi-draw plays available will decrease by one after each drawing until the game changes occur.

For example: Before the Lucky for Life drawing on Tuesday, April 20, there will be 25 multi-draw plays available. However, after the drawing takes place, the number of available multi-draws will drop to 24 plays.

The chart below shows the step-down time frame and the number of multi-draws that remain before each drawing.

Remember: Daily drawings begin on Monday, July 19.

How can I do an autorenew? And if I select multidraw, can I pick the days or do they have to be sequential? NC Lottery
Hi there. You will be able to manage each Auto-Renewal by signing in to your account and accessing your auto-renewals from the My Account menu. Your first purchase will be for the value of two weeks of draws. This builds in a one-week grace period should you have to update your account without missing a draw if there is ever an issue processing your next purchase. After your first initial auto-renew purchase of two weeks, each recurring purchase will occur every week for a week of draws. I hope this helps.

That’s real great! I’ve been playing the same set of 5 numbers from the beginning. $20 week doing auto renew. Now I’ll have to spend $70 a week! Twice a week was fine! The price needs to be $1 per ticket now! I’ll probably just quit playing LFL the odds of winning suck anyway!

do you know if they are going to increase the odds by upping the numbers to pick from?? that would destroy the game...right now it pays better than mega or PB on small prizes..I only play this and cash 5..ODDS are the best if you dont change them!!

Hi Denver, great question! This is due to the fact that Double Play is a Cash 5 add-on, but we aren't changing the base game.

Can you make the Ticket Checker feature available on the phone App without having to sign in? This would basically be the same as using the ticker checker scanner in the convenience store. Thanks!NC Lottery
Hi Don, thanks for the suggestion! I'll pass this idea along and we'll see if this is something that would be possible to implement in the future. In the meantime, you might be interested to know that for draw games you can check your numbers online without logging in to your account. Just go to the website for the draw game and then go to "Check Numbers". Thanks again for sharing your ideas!

Hi Gail, after logging in to your account, open the main menu, then click on Transaction History and then Upcoming Purchased Draws. From here select the drawing you are interested in and you will see your numbers. Thanks!

Hi Herman, two players split the jackpot in last night's Cash 5 drawing. Both winners bought their tickets in Charlotte. One was from Circle K on John J Delaney Dr. and the other from Circle K on University Blvd.

Hi Coriante, great question! A multi-draw ticket is just a ticket that is valid for more than one drawing within a date range that is specified on the ticket. Typically a multi-draw ticket can be purchased for up to 28 consecutive drawings. When we are implementing a change to the game, in this case going from two drawings per week to daily drawings, then we will do a "step-down". The step-down ensures that players with a multi-draw ticket won't experience a rules change in the middle of their multi-draw date range. After the game change takes place, players will again be able to purchase up to 28 consecutive drawings on a multi-draw ticket.
