We know you love to play Cash 5. It’s one of our favorites too!

Which is why we can’t wait to share the news you with this Sunday about a new (and permanent) style of play we’re adding on to Cash 5.

This new feature, while a whole lot of fun, also changes how much you stand to win for matching 2, 3, and 4 balls, as well as the top prize for matching all 5.

Any ideas on what it could be?

Hi Mike, the Double Play feature is only available at retailers and vending machines at this time.

Hey, you guys do realize the odds of winning $500 or even $250 on EZ match are 1 in 84,000 !! And the odds of winning $250 on just the $1 C5 drawing are 1 in 5000.

This has been the worst month for me playing Cash 5. I have played the same #'s since day one, and I have not hit it once this month. 0, nada ,nothing,time to change my #'s or quit.

I recently bought a cash 5 ticket with ez match and only matched 1 number for a measly $3.00. the other 4 prizes were all $500.00. If the amounts had all been different I'd be fine with it, but to have 4 chances at $500.00 only to win $3.00 isn't fair at all. I was cheated out of $500.00 and I'm not the least bit happy about it.

Hey Michael, most ever on EZ match was $50. only played it a few times, waste of a buck. If I am gonna spend an extra $5 its gonna be for 5 more tickets. Same way with double play, I will pay an extra buck to get in the 2nd drawing but not EZ match. Heck your $5 or $10 ticket will cost you $15 or $30 if you add on both. I saw the new play slips. They state if you pay $1 for 2nd drawing you could win UP TO $50k. Key wording "UP TO".....

must be about the double play that's starting April 25th. info. found : Double Play costs $1 per play. When Double Play is added, the numbers chosen for the Cash 5 base game will be entered into a second drawing. The Double Play prizes for matching 4,3 & 2 numbers are larger than the Cash 5 base game. And the Double Play top prize is $50,000.

$250.00 for 4 numbers is a joke! Need to trickle down from the top prize. Take away the $1 prize also. Totally useless. Other states Cash 5 winnings for 4 numbers are much better. Maybe you need to go pari-mutual instead of flat but I think the Lottery is too greedy to do that.

I don't know but I hope it gives people more chances of winning and not just one person all the time when it gets really high. Or could it be y'all are taking some of the balls away. whatever it is I hope it's worth playing been playing my same number for over years never seen them come out. I'm waiting to see what kind of scam they put together know.

I saw a cash 5 promo being advertised at some convenience stores last night. It mentioned getting a free double play cash 5 ticket after purchasing a $5 ticket. Does it have anything to do with this? I also haven’t seen the promo advertised on this site. Were the retailers advertising the promo too early?

I wonder if it's like a ticket I played in Tennessee?... I see it says double play..hmmm? On the TN ticket you played your 5 numbers and the machine add an extra 5 numbers for instant winnings before the drawing. Bigger pay outs would also be great!

you're adding a multiplier maybe 2,3,5,10 making it a $2 ticket.Will we still have easy match if so that could make the ticket cost $3. all depends on how you play.

I hope it's going tp be good like the one in Texas. Almost everyday or every other day there's a winner or winners. Visit TX. State lottery site for clues. I also think it's time NCEL start publishing pre-draw numbers for each game, so players can see where their regular/favorite numbers have been. Thank you for reading and posting.

I don't know but I hit 4 of 5 last night on the 1.7 million draw and was blessed with $250 A little larger prize for hitting 4 of 5 would be nice especially when the pot is over a million.

It's probably and about time that your 2nd, 3rd and 4th prizes will be bigger. Your ginna cut out that dollar for 2 numbers and give you a quick pick for it. That way your other orizes increase.

Could it be the Cash 5 version we used to have where what you won for 2, 3, 4 balls depended on the enrtire pot as a percentage of that pot? Or is it something completely different from the Old old way it was won? And like someone else said, that recent winner probably played the same numbers at two different places in the same area. both those circle K's are close to each other in distance. which is the University area of Charlotte. We've all done it, got a quick pick and replayed it in a different location(because we believe in conspiracy theories)/ LOL!
