Trips of 6-6-6 pay $3.2 million to Pick 3 players

The numbers 6-6-6 were drawn in Wednesday evening’s Carolina Pick 3 drawing, adding up to a $3.2 million win for lottery players!

The drawing produced 7,998 winning tickets that matched all three numbers. Winners with a $1 ticket took home $500 and those with a 50-cent ticket took home $250.

The winning numbers are known as “trips” among players of the Pick 3 game. Trips are some of the most popular combination of numbers played. The odds of matching all three numbers in exact order in a Pick 3 drawing are 1 in 1,000.

Winners that they have 180 days to claim their prizes.

Nice insight TAMIARA! I live in Charlotte also and only have seen a $4 million price won once and that was on WT Harris blvd the 20x $20 ticket a few years back. People complain about Charlotte but it’s so big just like wake county. That recently $150,000 scratch off was won in Mint Hill no where near uptown or the central Charlotte area.

These winnings are recent. After winnings all around Charlotte in other cities, usually the Wake and Fayetteville areas, Charlotte started complaining. Now winnings are in Charlotte! However, if you notice, “big” wins (more than 1 million) are usually won in the Eastern or Western parts. Charlotte RARELY sees anything greater than that. Trust me, I live here and noticed a pattern.

But the crazy thing is they tell you more people play in Charlotte area, that may be true but that still does not explain how all the big scratch off end up in the same area and every big draw game. Has nothing to do with more people playing the lottery deliver the tickets not the people playing. Explanations you give makes no sense it’s just a script that the lottery got for certain questions asked.
