We know you love to play Carolina Cash 5 – who doesn’t?! So, we could not be more excited to present you with this sweet Cash 5 Double Play deal!

Starting Monday, May 17, and running through May 31, you’ll get a free $2 Cash 5 Quick Pick ticket with Double Draw when you buy a $5 (or higher) ticket. Both tickets will be for the next Cash 5 drawing.

Where do i find out if I have won the double play numbers? Are they shown with the cash5 numbers as well? I'm confused but I bought 3 of them to accompany my ticketsNC Lottery
Hi, Haitham! If you visit our website here https://nclottery.com/cash5 and scroll down just a little, you will see the most recently drawn Double Play numbers, and you can click "Past Draws" to see draws beyond the latest one. Hope this helps!

Hey there, Ronald! Unfortunately, we do not offer Cash 5 Double Play or EZ Match with Online Play purchases - but we have heard from our players that this is a feature that many want to see, so we hope to be able to offer it in the future!

When and how are the Double Play balls drawn? It doesn't show the balls being drawn on the live drawings at night on TV, it just provides the winning numbers. Is the same machine being used for the Double Play numbers?NC Lottery
Hi Molly, great question. The Double Play drawing is conducted immediately after the first drawing using the same procedure, but with a separate ball machine. This drawing hasn't been broadcast live due to television time slot constraints, but you can request video of Double Play drawings by sending an email to Player.Info@lotterync.net.

Looking at the odds/ payout of the Double Play, it's more than regular Cash 5.Why not have the same odds/ payouts? Also was to end on May 31st. When will it end? Are there any new games in the making? Thanks NC Lottery
Hi Darlene, the prize structure for Double Play is somewhat different than that of the standard Cash 5 game. The prizes you could win for matching 4,3, or 2 numbers are larger than the Cash 5 base game. May 31st was just the deadline for a Cash 5 free ticket promotion that we were running. That has been replaced by a new Cash 5 free ticket promotion which you can read about here: https://nclottery.com/PromotionsSpecialty#!#58. I hope that helps to clear things up. I've only just found out about this. No mention of it on the website or on the promotions page. I bought $5 online last week and never got a free double play ticket, yet went into a store today and totally surprised when was given one. What happened to the advertising of this offer on the website I can't see it. Only came by this info by chance. Bit unfair for online players.NC Lottery

The Cash 5 Double Play promotion runs through May 31, so there is still time to get Double Play for free with a $5 Cash 5 purchase at retail locations!

Hi William, thank you for the suggestion! At this time, Cash 5 Double Play is an add-on to the core Cash 5 game, and so requires a player purchase a Cash 5 ticket to play the Double Play drawing. Our team that designs new games and promotions reads this blog though, so if a standalone game with a prize structure like Cash 5 Double Play was of interest to players, we appreciate hearing that!

Hi Donna, yes, this promotion only applies to the purchase of Cash 5 draw tickets at a retailer or vending machine.

Hi Tasha, all you have to do is buy a Cash 5 ticket with a total price of $5 (either 5 sets of numbers or 5 consecutive draws) and you will receive a free Cash 5 QP ticket with Double Play for the next Cash 5 drawing.

Hi David, thanks for the question! We introduced Double Play to give players an opportunity to win even more money at the prize levels with the best odds to win. Double Play’s prizes for matching 2, 3, and 4 balls were increased by amounts that were structured to result in a similar overall payout to the original Cash 5 game over time. This means more money will be won by players for matching 2, 3, and 4 numbers! The extra money allows us to increase the prizes at those prize levels.

I got my freebies 2day. FYI you must buy $5 worth on 1 ticket. Do a play slip or a replay . If you want $10 worth of the old C5 get 2 $5 tickets to get 2 freebies. Same with double play Get 2 $6 tickets or 2 double play & 1 of the single play tickets for a total of $5. Play smart for the most free tickets. DO NOT get 5 individual tickets and expect a free one and then complain after the fact!!!!
