Solving puzzle wins Mecklenburg County woman $150,000 prize

Tamara Mullis of Charlotte found 10 words on her VIP Cashword ticket to win a $150,000 top prize.

Mullis purchased her winning $5 ticket from Perry’s Market on Wilgrove Mint Hill Road in Charlotte.

She claimed her prize Monday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh and took home $106,126 after required federal and state tax withholdings.

VIP Cashword launched in March with five top prizes of $150,000. Two top prizes remain to be won.

You are not that naive. But if it ease your conscious I’ll let the lottery have that one. The issue is the winning tickets are majorly placed in these towns. Not only me but many see this problem. I’m just vocal with mine.

Relax folks this won in Mint Hill. If you do little research you will realize Mint Hill is not in Charlotte but Mecklenburg county kind of like how Knightdale is to Raleigh.

Just say Charlotte. Sometimes you put Charlotte other time Mecklenbug. Treat Richmond,Scotland,Roberson,Hoke as one place and let’s get a winner in one of these towns as frequently as Charlotte, Cumberland, Wake,Durham and Greensboro. Will that help. Add a few more small counties to that list and see if we can get a winner at least once a year in each of those counties. Smh
