Richmond County man wins $100,000 prize

Thomas McInnis of Ellerbe tried his luck on a $20 scratch-off and won a $100,000 prize.

He purchased his 100X The Cash ticket from the Circle K on Jefferson Davis Highway in Sanford.

McInnis claimed his prize Monday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh and took home $70,756 after required federal and state tax withholdings.

Thomas Mcinnis bought the ticket in Sanford, so he didn't actually buy the ticket in Richmond county. So that tells us, still no big winners from Richmond county itself. Just tells us he was from Richmond county only.

Oh, wow! Congratulations, I went to school with a Tommy mcinnis from ellerbe, I think if it's the same one, who is a state senator in Nc. Glad someone finally won a big amount from Richmond county.
