Deadlines are coming at ya for big drawings offering cash prizes up to $150,000 and a VIP experience at the Duke-Carolina game. So, get you entries in before the buzzer’s up.

Occasionally I will find a scratch on the ground and key it in. Sometimes it's where the ticket goes in and sometimes it doesn't. Will keying in the already played ticket disqualify my other tickets that have already been accepted into a drawing. I have friends who normally give me their non-winning tickets to key in because they don't believe in the second chance drawings. Also, they say they don't want the lottery to have their personal information.NC Lottery
Hi Willie, if the ticket has not been entered into Second Chance or Lucke-Rewards yet then it is fine for you to enter it, but if you make multiple attempts to enter a ticket that has already been entered then your account my become temporarily blocked.

Great question, Denver! The winner may have been notified a couple of days after the drawing, so they would have 30 days from the notification to claim their prize. But yes, if the winner does not claim their prize in the next week or so, we will begin the process of selecting an alternate!

Hi Willie. We have lots of folks who have won prizes multiple times. Some combination of good luck and taking lots of chances to win is what accounts for it. Without knowing how often that winner plays it's impossible to say which element is more of a factor.

Why do retailers not know how to play the cash 5 with both double play ez match ? I can play it with both when I stop at the machines at the supermarket but every time I try and get it at a convenience store they say it can’t be done .NC Lottery
Hi Ruthann! Retailers should be able to add on Double Play and EZ Match to your Cash 5 ticket at their terminal. We apologize for any inconvenience, but know that you can always use the lottery vending machines to add that on to your ticket, or you could try another retailer to see if they would be able to.

I've been trying to enter my tickets and enter drawings since December of 2021. WHY CAN'T tickets be entered and WHY CAN'T I enter any of these drawings. When I click on Ticket Entries or when I attempt to enter a drawing, the webpage just goes back to the default webpage and does not allow me to do either.
