Cash 5 drawings set a new record

It’s been an amazing run for Cash 5 players over the last week. For the first time ever, Cash 5 drawings have produced four jackpot wins over four consecutive days.

On Jan. 27, two winners split a $110,000 jackpot and each took home $55,000. Then the $100,000 jackpot hit on each drawing from Jan. 28 through Jan. 30.

There have been multiple occurrences of three consecutive jackpot wins in Cash 5, but this is the first time there has been four straight days of jackpot wins.

The wins occurred in Goldsboro, Southern Pines, Jacksonville, Asheboro, and Sophia.

What a run! We’re hoping for five now!

Not only that but counting the 3 way split last Tuesday it was hit 5 times in 6 days. Actually there were 8 winning tickets all together. Cool as that sounds, the C5 gets hit on average about once a week. The double draw has ONLY been hit 3 times since it started last April. I think not many players are playing the double or even know about it. The clerks are even ignorant of it. Every time my wife goes to by a $2 double draw ticket , they tell her we don't have that and give her an EZ match ticket instead. This has happened several times and at different gas stations....

Hi Cynthia! Areas with higher populations generally see more winners because there are more players. That being said, we've had a lot of big winners from Greensboro, including a $10,000 Mega Millions winner on January 18, 2022, two $5,000 Lucky for Life winners last November, and a $196,232 Cash 5 winner on January 14!
