Cumberland County man wins $100,000 on scratch-off

Michael Martin of Linden tried his luck on a $30 scratch-off ticket and won a $100,000 prize.

Martin bought his lucky Fabulous Fortune ticket from Tiger Mart on North Ramsey Street in Linden. He collected his prize at lottery headquarters Wednesday and, after required state and federal tax withholdings, took home $71,019.

Fabulous Fortune debuted in July with six $3 million prizes and 18 $100,000 prizes. Two $3 million top prizes and nine $100,000 prizes remain to be claimed.

Why do you let 50/50 play on pick three with the fireball play if you you can't win on it. I had 101, but the number came 161 with 6 fireball on (Nov.22.22 night)which the the fireball would have replaced the 0 with 6 and I was told that it was not a winner. I feel like I am throwing away an extra dollar for a no win situationNC Lottery
Hi Trena, the Fireball number replaces the lottery-drawn numbers, not the numbers on your ticket. In your example where the lottery drawn numbers were "1-6-1" and the Fireball was "6", the Fireball winning combinations are "6-6-1" "1-6-1" and 1-6-6". A winning 50/50 ticket would need to match those combinations in "any" or the "exact" order to win.
