It’s that time of year. Yes, time to set the wheels in motion for your high school senior’s eligibility for an Education Lottery Scholarship.

Let’s talk about how your senior can initiate their college plans.

You’ve heard us talk about filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid form. By now, you may have even talked about it with your high school senior. It’s time to put that talk into action.

What does your student stand to gain? A piece of the $41 million raised by the lottery and devoted to scholarships and grants based on financial need.

We invite you and your senior to check out the College Foundation of North Carolina website for valuable resources and guidance in how to successfully fill out the FAFSA.

Have you and your senior received an Education Lottery Scholarship in years past? We’d love to hear how you put that Education Lottery Scholarship to good use. Let us know in the comments.

Do you have to be a Senior. Can I get one as an adult going back to college. ThanksNC Lottery
Hi, Connie! If you're filling out the FAFSA and are a resident of NC, you should be considered for this scholarship and more. You can read more info for Adult and Non-Traditional Students on the site here: https://www.cfnc.org/apply-to-college/adult-and-nontraditional-learners. Hope this helps!
