3-3-3 delivers $2.4 million in prizes to Pick 3 players

For the second time in a month, the numbers 3-3-3 delivered a big win for our Pick 3 players who play trips of 3-3-3.

The third big Pick 3 win of 2022 occurred in Sunday night’s drawing when those numbers came up for a $2.4 million win.

In all, 6,364 winning tickets matched all three numbers. A player with a fifty-cent ticket won $250 and a player with a $1 ticket won $500.

The odds of matching all three numbers in a Pick 3 drawing are 1 in a 1000. You can learn more about Pick 3, one of our most popular games, here.

Winners have 180 days to claim their prizes. Drawings in the Carolina Pick 3 game are held twice a day, at 3 p.m. and at 11:22 p.m. Players can either pick their own numbers or select a Quick Pick by allowing the lottery terminal to generate a set of three numbers for them.

I would have won $500 on the 2-20 evening draw if the Speedway cashier in Siler City had not refused to sell me a ticket.

I tried to buy a pick 3 ticket at Speedway in Siler City on Feb 20th for the evening draw. I told the cashier that I wanted to play the numbers 3-3-3. The time was just after 10:30pm and she informed me that it was too late and that the drawing was in progress. I told her I thought she was wrong and she still refused to sell me the ticket. I went to the NCEL website and found out the latest time to buy a ticket for the evening game is 10:59pm meaning she had about 25 minutes to sell me the ticket. Because of her I was cheated out of $500. I have complained to Speedway's corporate office to no avail as they refuse to pay me for their cashier's mistake. Needless to say I will be taking this matter to small claims court.

Hey, Ernest, great question! At this time, Double Play and EZ Match are not available through Online Play. If you'd like to add those to your Cash 5 ticket purchase, we recommend finding a retailer near you to add that on. We hope to be able to offer this online for our players in the future though!

Thank you NCEL for the TRIPLE a lot of people play them and they don’t come out often enough to tell the truth they should fall EVERY month just like the rest of the numbers so when they do fall it’s a hit or miss and if you miss try again or keep your favorite # in it will come out sooner or later congratulation to all the triple winners

There are limitations on prize payout liability, so some numbers, especially more popular combinations, may hit the "liability limit" if the total prize liabilities for any number with all types of Plays exceed that limit. This is to ensure that we will be able to pay out prizes to all of the winners if that number is drawn! Hope this helps to clarify!

333 is just making up for lost time. Prior to this month, they hadn't come out since November 2019. They were due. Glad I hung in there.

Help me understand how these numbers are random when the same sets come out in a months time. All I see is the same people winning all the time. If I would of out the 3s in, they wouldn’t of came out last night.NC Lottery
