Charlotte woman takes home half of a $470,974 Cash 5 jackpot

Marjorie Grier of Charlotte tried her luck on a $1 Cash 5 ticket and won $235,487.

Grier bought her lucky Quick Pick ticket from the Smoker’s Depot on South Tryon Street in Charlotte. She claimed her prize Tuesday at lottery headquarters and, after required state and federal tax withholdings, took home $167,220.

Grier was one of two winners who split the $470,974 Cash 5 jackpot in Thursday’s drawing. A Durham man claimed the other half on Friday.

Cash 5 is one of four lottery games in North Carolina where players have the option of buying their tickets through Online Play, either through the lottery’s website or with the NC Lottery Official Mobile App. Cash 5 tickets are $1 and drawings are held every night. Tuesday’s jackpot is $197,000.

Morning LZ. I still can not see my "super bonus progress". Before they added 826 to the list of Eligible Games when I clicked on the tab it would pop up in 2 parts. First the top half with the dates and the rules , then a few seconds later it would show progress and how many more tickets I needed and had. Now the progress part does not show.....NC Lottery

LZ, it is on both my desk top and my android phone. It will tell me when i get the 100 bonus points but not my "progress". No biggie right now, but would hate for myself or any one else to leave entries hanging towards the end of the month, which everyone one should be concerned with have too many of 1 ticket and not enuff of the other ones in the set.NC Lottery

Is anyone else having problems with the "super bonus progress" tab?? Everything was fine up to a couple days ago. After scanning a ticket and click (OK), if you get 100 points it would say. And if you clicked on "check your progress" it would let you see exactly what tickets and how many you needed to complete you set. Now it doesn't, and I have lost count.NC Lottery
