Deadline to claim prizes on 13 scratch-off games hits in a week

Time is almost up on 13 scratch-off games. After Thursday, June 9, you won’t be able to claim any prizes for the following games:

$20 ticket: $150 Million Cash Explosion
$10 tickets: Carolina Black: Millionaire Edition, Merry Money Blowout
$5 tickets: VIP Cashword, CA$H PLU$, Holiday Cheer
$3 tickets: LOTERIA™ (#761), Peppermint Payout x3
$2 tickets: Lucke Bonus Cash, Cash Spooktacular, Holiday Doubler
$1 tickets: Super Hot 7’s, Fast $50

Reminder: All prizes must be claimed by no later than 5 p.m. Thursday, June 9. Claims between $600 and $99,999 must be made at one of the six regional claim centers before 5 p.m. that day. Claims of $100,000 or more must be made at lottery headquarters in Raleigh before 5 p.m. on that day as well.

I've been playing the second chance drawing a even went as far as going through trash cans looking for any multiply the Cash tickets and I still have yet to win anything I think it's rigged..NC Lottery
Hi, Christian! All of our practices, including our Lucke-Rewards and second chance drawings, are independently reviewed and audited to ensure fairness for all of our players. We use a certified Random Number Generator (RNG) for our second chance drawings and every entry has the same odds of being randomly selected as a winner (although of course, having more entries increases a player's odds of being a winner!). It just takes a whole lot of luck to be a winner - but it only takes one lucky entry!

IHi..I sent an email on May 24th aand just sent another one abt a deposit to pay online. I have not rcvd any response. Can someone pls tell me where my money went bc for some reason I cannot play online. The system took my money ( deposit) but will not allow me to complete any tickets to play the lottery on this site!!??!!NC Lottery

You should be able to use Account Funds to pay on this screen. I have been playing since the beginning.. lol ??..My 15th wedding anniversary is this coming Thursday on the 9th of June.. I am keeping the faith on a Really BIG WIN!!.. fingers and toes crossed.. I am in EVERY Single 2nd Chance Game and haven’t won one yet.. But I’m Not giving up!..it would be the best Anniversary present to Win one on that day.. I think that’s the date of 2 of the drawings.. Just wondering how can your close out a game with a major jackpot unclaimed? According to the website there is still a $4,000,000 prize unclaimed in the $20 Cash Explosion scratcher.NC Lottery
Hi, Darin! In a perfect world, we would release a new game and players would enjoy playing it and all of the prizes would be won before we end the game. Unfortunately that is not always the case. Sometimes games are no longer popular with our players or retailers simply aren't ordering them anymore, so it makes more sense to end a game and replace it with one that has more prizes available to be won.

You can always go into your account and check your tickets from Online Play purchases under the "Transaction History" tab if you click on your username in the top right corner on a web browser, or "Account" in the bottom right on our app. Hope this helps!

why is it that if your out of town. and you are a North Carolina Resident, and you want to buy your games and your not allowed to because of your location, why is that and you have an account and are living in North CarolinaNC Lottery
Hey there, Charlene! We use geolocation to determine where a player is physically located at the time of purchase to ensure tickets are only purchased in NC borders. This functions the same as buying a ticket through traditional retailers - if you are in a different state, you couldn't go to a retailer and buy a NC Lottery ticket, but you would buy one for your current location. If you are anticipating traveling and want to purchase an Online Play ticket, you can always set up auto-renew or buy consecutive draws before you leave to ensure you will have tickets for a specific game or draw while out of town!
