Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots both top $300 million

For North Carolinians who enjoy playing for big jackpots, this weekend offers two jackpots in the Mega Millions and Powerball games that both exceed $300 million.

Friday’s Mega Millions jackpot stands at a $355 million annuity that is worth $183.6 million in cash. The Powerball jackpot stands at a $322 million annuity that is worth $170.8 million in cash for Saturday’s drawing.

As both jackpots continue to climb, North Carolinians continue to win other prizes in both games. In Tuesday’s Mega Millions drawing, a lucky player in Pender County matched four white balls and the yellow Mega Ball to win $10,000. The winning ticket was purchased through Online Play on the lottery’s website.

The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292 million. The odds of winning a Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in 302 million.

Players can buy Powerball or Mega Millions tickets at any lottery retail location or through Online Play on the lottery’s website, www.nclottery.com.

By now NC LOTTERY you should be able to purchases pick 3 and 4 online especially, on days like this with Bad Weather. Plus, all the systems be offline in the gas station and grocery stores

Of course the latest jackpot for C5 was won in Greensboro. Lots of Joe supporters over there. And nobody from NC is going to win the Powerball or Mega Millions jackpots.
