Fast Play jackpot won Monday in Buncombe County

Someone walked into an Asheville grocery store on Monday evening, bought a $10 Big Bucks Bingo ticket and will start 2023 with a $496,995 Fast Play jackpot.

The winner purchased the lucky ticket at the Sav-Mor on Patton Avenue in Asheville. Since it was a $10 ticket, 100% of the jackpot can be claimed.

The winner has 180 days to claim the prize at lottery headquarters in Raleigh.

The instantly growing jackpot increases with every ticket sold until it is won. After Monday’s win, the jackpot started over at $20,000.

Don’t forget:

  • A $2 Fast Play ticket wins 20% of the jackpot.
  • A $5 Fast Play ticket wins half of the jackpot.
  • A $10 Fast Play ticket wins all of the jackpot.
  • A $20 Fast Play ticket wins all of the jackpot plus $200,000 cash.

Hi, Chester! The taxes from Online Play will be the same as in-store purchases - wins under $600 will automatically be deposited into your account and no taxes will be withheld. Wins over $600 but less than $5,000 will be subject to NC tax at 4.75%, and wins of $5,000 or more will be subject to NC tax as well as federal tax at 24%. Hope this helps!

SMH I was playing $10 FastPlay tickets at this very time and could not even get a $10 WIN and what do you know someone buy's a BINGO. I was playing Triple WIN tickets. This game has the worst odds of winning a prize. I really was playing hoping to get a $500-$1000 ticket WIN and I got $0!
