Have you ever wondered what it would be like to travel to Las Vegas and compete on a game show to win big cash prizes?
Six North Carolinians got that chance last month when they went to Las Vegas to compete in The Price is Right Come on Down Challenge. They won the free trip for them and a guest after entering their The Price is Right scratch-offs into two second-chance drawings.
Check out the video below to get an inside look at their memorable experience:
The Come on Down Challenge featured several classic games from the popular game show including Punch a Bunch, The Big Wheel, and Plinko. While none of the North Carolina players won the top prize during the event, they all did win $1,000.
“We’ve had such a great time,” Miller said. “I’m so appreciative.”
Michele Dorsey, a Dallas resident, said the chance to compete in The Price is Right Come on Down Challenge meant so much to her.
“I watch The Price is Right every single day that I am not at work,” she said. “I have been watching since I was a little kid.”
Mary Shipman-Lindsey of Kernersville said she initially couldn’t believe it when she saw she won the chance to travel to Las Vegas to compete in the challenge.
“I was just like, ‘Oh my goodness, I actually won,’” she recalled. Shipman-Lindsey said her son works in education so she loves to support the lottery.
“The money goes toward a good cause,” she said. “And I’m just so excited to be here.”
