Just after 7 p.m. on Tuesday, someone walked into a Johnston County convenience store, bought a $10 50X The Cash ticket, and instantly won a $236,439 Fast Play jackpot.
The winner purchased the lucky ticket at the Country Mart on N.C. 242 North in Benson.
Since it was a $10 ticket, 100% of the jackpot can be claimed. The winner has 180 days to claim the prize at lottery headquarters in Raleigh.
The instantly growing jackpot increases with every ticket sold until it is won. After Tuesday’s win, the jackpot started over at $20,000.
