Kids now have more access to technology and learning opportunities, thanks to a lottery partnership. This week, IGT cut the ribbon on a new computer lab at the Twin Rivers YMCA in New Bern. IGT provides the technology that supports the lottery’s exciting games.
The After School Advantage computer lab features 20 Chromebooks, one Apple iMac, two Apple iPads, an Interactive Smartboard, a STEM mobile creativity board and a 3D printer.
The $30,000 donation will provide children at the YMCA, without access to a computer, help with their studies and STEM Learning.
This marks the eighth After School Advantage lab IGT has opened in North Carolina.
Partnerships like this one helped your lottery raise more than $1 billion last year for education in the state. That money goes to all of North Carolina’s 100 counties. Last year, Craven County received $5.9 million in funding.
